Chock full o' Nuts

So, only one student can be in the spray booth at a time, and there are 9 of us... so while we were waiting for our turn, we practices making nuts (using el-cheapo guitars to practice on). In this picture, I have cut a larger blank down to fit the slot, and have radiused it, determined the string spacing, and am 1/2 way through filing the nut slots to the correct depth. Once that's done, I'll take some of the excess material off of the top so that the strings sit about 2/3 in the slot and 1/3 above it. Very small increments make a big difference, and there are many tiny details involved in making it well and making it right.
