We routed in the slot for the truss rod, which is used to adjust the relief (amount of bowing) of the neck. Then we used a dremel tool to rout out the place where the lug is set into the headstock. Then we covered it all with a new strip of mahogany and filled in with glue around the lug... and filed it all flat.
