We're getting pretty close to putting the tops, backs and sides together... but what we have to do next is make them all fit.
Remember all those braces? Well, some of them extend to the very edge of the guitar and are "tucked" into the kerfing... which again, lends strength, distributes pressures and tensions, and helps transmit tone. So we have to carefully mark where those braces will meet the outside edge of the guitar, and using a Dremel tool and a router base, we rout out the notches. I got about 1/2 way through my notches today... tomorrow will finish those and trim the ends off of the braces that do not get tucked... once that's all done, it'll be about ready to be glued up into a great big guitar shaped box.

they can make you build guitars -- but they can't take away your mandolin t-shirt....
